Caring for your keepsake
A few small rituals keep your CINLAQUÍN candle burning beautifully — and let the signature cognac glass live on long after the last flame.
The first burn matters
Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface on the first burn — about two hours. This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even, generous burn every time after.
Trim the wick
Before each lighting, trim the cotton wick to about ¼ inch (5 mm). A trimmed wick burns cleaner, brighter and without soot.
Mind the burn time
Burn for no longer than four hours at a time. Let the candle cool completely and re-trim the wick before relighting.
Keep it safe
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children and pets, and always rest it on a heat-safe surface.
Know when to stop
Stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains, to protect both the cognac vessel and the surface beneath it.
Repurpose the glass
Clean the cognac glass with warm, soapy water and give it a second life — a vessel for flowers, trinkets, or a daily ritual of your own.
Hand-poured to be remembered — made to be kept.
