Notes on scent & memory

Stories, rituals and reflections from the CINLAQUÍN house — on the art of fragrance, and the memories it keeps.

Why scent is the truest keeper of memory

Of all the senses, smell is the one tied most deeply to memory. A single note can return us to a moment we thought was lost — a grandmother's kitchen, a first bouquet, a summer that refuses to end. We compose every fragrance to do exactly that: to hold a feeling, and give it back to you.

The making of Vanilla Dorée

Madagascar bourbon vanilla folded into golden amber and warm milk, finished with a whisper of tonka bean. Our most beloved fragrance was built to smell like a kitchen at dusk — warm, golden, and quietly waiting for you.

Setting a table by candlelight

An evening worth remembering is made of small details — low light, a considered scent, and time that slows down. Place a candle at the centre, let the fragrance bloom before your guests arrive, and let the room do the rest.
